Abstract

Organic Architecture is one of the concepts originally invented by Frank Lloyd. Since childhood, Frank Lloyd has always observed the relationship between humans and the environment. This is the basis of his thinking about Organic Architecture. Basically, Organic Architecture is still often debated about its design guidelines and limitations. However, there are some researchers who have tried to observe the concept of Organic Architecture. Organic architecture is more directed at harmony with the natural surroundings, creating something that is harmonious, can last all the time with its dynamic form with nature. The function of the educational building is as a means in the teaching and learning process to add knowledge to its users. The teaching and learning process will feel more comfortable if the space and activities become one unit with the environment. The application of Organic Architecture in educational buildings allows the creation of a comfortable atmosphere in teaching and learning activities. This study aims to describe the application of Organic Architecture in educational buildings. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method which analyzes educational buildings based on the concept of Organic Architecture.
