Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi seberapa besar perubahan fungsi lahan, mengidentifikasi pengaruh keberadaan kawasan industri Palopo (KIPA) terhadap perubahan fungsi lahan, dan merumuskan arahan fungsi lahan di Kelurahan Maroangin Kecamatan Telluwanua Kota Palopo. Lokasi penelitian berada di Kelurahan Maroangin Kecamatan Telluwanua Kota Palopo. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini melalui pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis overlay untuk melihat seberapa besar perubahan lahan yang terjadi, analisis chi-square untuk melihat pengaruh keberadaan Kawasan Industri Palopo, dan analisis deskriptif kualitatif untuk arahan fungsi lahan.
