Spatial Planning of the Center Point of Indonesia Area in Supporting Tourism Development in Makassar City

Abstract. This research aims to determine the influence of the Center Point of Indonesia area in supporting Makassar city tourism and provide direction for its development. This research uses quantitative and qualitative data. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis and AHP analysis. The results of this research show that the factors that influence the arrangement of the Center Point Indonesia area in supporting Makassar city tourism are attractiveness, facilities and infrastructure, accessibility, security and comfort and promotion. The proposed development directions include increasing accessibility, quality of human resources in the field of security and supervision and strategies for increasing promotion by implementing these development directions. It is hoped that Center Point of Indonesia can contribute more optimally in improving Makassar City Tourism.
