Author Guidelines
Journal of Urban Planning Studies (JUPS) is an open-access e-journal focusing on scholarly works in the field of Urban and Regional Planning. The journal covers topics such as regional and urban planning; transportation and infrastructure systems; urban modeling; remote sensing and GIS applications for regional studies; environmental planning; disaster mitigation; coastal area planning; tourism area planning; urban and social economics; slum areas and conservation. JUPS is published every four months in March, July, and November (3 issues per year) and is developed by the Urban and Regional Planning Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Bosowa University.

General Author Guidelines
All manuscripts must be submitted online through the Journal of Urban Planning Studies (JUPS) submission portal:

Manuscript Review
Each submitted manuscript will be independently reviewed by the editorial team and assigned to peer reviewers. The decision to publish, request revisions, or reject a manuscript is based on the reviewers’ recommendations. A statement outlining the basis for the decision will be sent to the author promptly. -
Manuscript Revision
Manuscripts returned to authors for revision must be resubmitted to the editor without delay. -
Submission and Publication Fees
Journal of Urban Planning Studies (JUPS) is an open-access journal. Authors are not required to pay any submission or publication fees. Readers can freely read and download full-text articles at no cost. -

All articles published in open access are immediately and permanently free for everyone to read and download. We continuously work with our author community to select the best licensing options. Currently, JUPS applies the following license:
