Sustainable Management of Coastal Resources For The Development of Coastal Areas in Galesong Sub-District, Takalar District

Takalar Regency is one of the areas that has a very large potential of coastal resources. One of the coastal areas in Takalar Regency which has a lot of potential for coastal resources is Galesong District. The potential of coastal resources in Galesong District is the result of fishery production. Another potential resource that can be developed is tourism development. From this potential, efforts are needed to develop coastal areas with sustainable coastal resource management. This research was conducted to determine the condition of coastal resources and determine a sustainable coastal resource management program in the development of coastal areas in Galesong District. Sustainable coastal resource management is determined based on the results of the SWOT analysis. The results showed that the coastal area in Galesong District which has a good level of development of potential conditions for coastal resources and the highest is located in Boddia Village, whose development potential is tourism and coral reefs. , and mangroves. And the low level of development is located in Galesong Baru Village with potential coastal resources that can be improved, namely milkfish, and other types of fish, from these results, several efforts to increase potential are needed, including preparing land for sustainable tourism development, carrying out the process of preservation and maintenance coastal ecosystems, proper management and development of coastal resources in a sustainable manner, in order to grow the community's economy, coastal resources are also not exploited en masse and will not cause adverse impacts in the future.
