Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify what factors
only the cause of the slums and formulate direction
handling of slum settlements in Balantang Village, Malili District
East Luwu Regency.
This research approach uses a qualitative approach and
quantitatively by collecting quantitative data which is then
which then uses Multiple Regression analysis to measure
how much influence then using a descriptive analysis tool
Qualitative to formulate directions for handling slum settlements.
The main conclusion of this study is that there are seven factors that
affect the occurrence of slums in Balantang Village, District
Malili, East Luwu Regency, including the condition of buildings, water
waste, clean water, infrastructure condition, solid waste, fire protection
and land status. While the factors that have no effect are
drainage.
