Abstract. This research aims to determine changes in the choice of public transport in the city of Makassar and directions that can be taken to support its development. This research uses quantitative and qualitative approaches and the data collection process is carried out through observation, documentation in the research area and literature studies related to research used. Furthermore, the data obtained was analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis as a determinant of the public transport transformation model that is of interest to the people of Makassar City or the research location. Based on the results of the analysis carried out, the public transport model that the public wants is a transport model that is cheap, comfortable and easy. can be reached and all of this can be seen and felt in online public transportation, but if left untreated and not made changes to the transportation model for offline public transportation, online public transportation will become more and more common in the city of Makassar as a result of which traffic jams or road loads will become higher because online public transportation does not have Bus stops do not have fixed routes and waiting places for passengers anywhere. The public transport model should be pete-pete, buses and taxis operating on primary arterial roads while motorbike taxis and rickshaws operate on neighborhood roads. However, what is happening now is that people prefer public transportation from location A to location B or home to their destination.
