Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Banggai People's Harbor on the socio-economic conditions of the surrounding community. As well as to maximize the potential of Banggai People's Port in improving the socio-economic conditions of the surrounding community.

This research is a quantitative and qualitative research with a research design using a survey method with a qualitative quantitative approach. The data obtained were then analyzed using tabulation calculations and swot analysis.

The results obtained are that the existence of the Banggai People's Harbor affects the socio-economic conditions of the surrounding community. Then the strategy to improve the socio-economic conditions of the surrounding community uses the SO strategy.
