Penerapan Material yang Ramah Lingkungan pada Bangunan Pusat Perbelanjaan di Kota Makassar

Abstract

Eco - friendly materials are materials that minimize various effects that are harmful to human health and do not have the potential to damage the environment. Shopping centers are one type of modern shopping facility that can meet the needs and activities of the community. Makassar City is the capital of South Sulawesi Province which has the impression of being a center for trade and services. Development progress in Makassar City has currently resulted in fairly rapid economic growth in line with the development of a more modern lifestyle in society to meet the needs for services, goods and entertainment. The aim of designing the world center is to implement the world center planning design as a forum for meeting community needs and activities by using eco- friendly materials in buildings both interior and exterior by utilizing energy sources and natural resources efficiently and optimally. The data processing method used is primary data and secondary data. Data obtained was obtained from the results of field surveys and literature studies. The result of this design is to produce a world center with a green architectural concept by applying eco- friendly materials such as using wood materials on walls, ceilings and natural stone as floors with the application of natural colors such as white and gray on the interior and exterior.
