Abstract

A good school at least has a comfortable physical environment and can make students feel at home learning. Fengshui is the study of organizing buildings, objects, and spaces in an environment to achieve a comfortable and balanced physical environment that brings peace and prosperity. One of the strategies that can be done to achieve a good school is to apply a fengshui system that can create a comfortable physical environment and make students feel at home learning. However, this fengshui system sometimes contradicts Islamic manners. This study aims to identify the relevance between the planning of an Integrated Islamic School and the principles of fengshui. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. The analysis technique used is by comparing the results of planning or design with fengshui principles which are analyzed descriptively to see the relationship or relevance of the Integrated Islamic School design in the perspective of fengshui and does not conflict with Islamic manners. The results of this study indicate that basically there is some relevance between the results of the design of the Integrated Islamic School with fengshui principles and does not conflict with Islamic manners, namely from the location of the site, building orientation, circulation paths, interior layout, shape and appearance of the building.
