Radiology is an integral part of medical diagnosis, but excessive radiation exposure can pose health risks to patients and medical staff. Therefore, this research focuses on the use of lead material as a mitigation measure to reduce radiation exposure. The research methods employed include the analysis of lead material resistance to radiation and its impact on reducing radiation in the hospital's radiology environment. The study also involves an evaluation of the performance and safety of patients and medical staff after the implementation of lead material. Data collection is carried out through measurements of radiation levels before and after the implementation of lead material, as well as surveys and direct observations of operational conditions and safety in the radiology environment. The results of the research are expected to provide deeper insights into the effectiveness of lead material in reducing radiation exposure levels. Furthermore, practical recommendations and design solutions can be generated to enhance efficiency and safety in the radiology facility at Batua Hospital. The implications of this research are not only local but can also contribute to best practices in radiology management in hospitals in general.
