Abstract

Applying the roof shape (DEA) of Enrekang Duri traditional traditional house in the context of agro market development in Alla District. The Enrekang Duri traditional house is known for its distinctive roof structure, visually the shape of the Duri traditional house gives the impression of a very large house, this is due to the use of a towering roof and the lower limit is almost parallel to the windows. By focusing on how these traditional elements are integrated into the design of agro markets such as the building facade, this design identifies and evaluates the ways in which traditional roof forms can be translated and applied in the context of functional commercial buildings. The design utilizes qualitative descriptive research, The results of this design show that the adaptation of traditional roof forms not only successfully preserves and accommodates cultural values, but also offers innovative and relevant design solutions for agro markets. Thus, this research makes an important contribution to cultural preservation efforts while meeting the functional and aesthetic needs of modern buildings.
