Abstract

The Indonesian aviation industry has grown rapidly in recent years. In addition, Indonesia's geographical location on the equator, connecting two continents and two oceans, is certainly very beneficial for the aviation industry.  As the gateway to eastern Indonesia, Makassar is one of the busiest cities in the country, thriving not only in trade but also in manufacturing. In order to participate in advancing education in Indonesia, particularly in the field of aviation or aerospace, there is a need for a forum or platform that can encompass all aspects of academic activities aimed at improving the quality and human resources in the field of aviation in the future. The design method involves developing a planning concept for the Aviation Polytechnic in Makassar City using Futuristic Architecture, where the design utilizes new technologies and forms, while taking into account environmental and community aspects in the planning process, and reflecting the identity of the region in the design so that it remains relevant with the times. The planning is tailored to needs and maximizes its function and purpose as a place of education and training in the field of aviation.
